Parenting and healthy active lifestyle blog
Looking for some fun Easter Activities to do with the kids this Easter during the school holidays? Got children in nursery, reception or infants?
We’ve found the best website for learning resources that I’ve come across to date for children up to age 8.
http://www.mrsmactivity.co.uk/ has so many good ideas for school aged children and we have chosen to complete some of the Easter activities available this weekend.
Mrs Mactivity is a former teacher and her aim is to make learning fun through unique, hand drawn and high quality printable learning resources that children genuinely love.
It’s a great way to keep the kids entertained too as we’ve used some of the colouring sheets for the two hour car journey this weekend.
So, we chose to make some Easter cards. We printed them out (ink friendly too!) and the easy to follow instructions allowed is to create some 3D cards for our family.
We also loved the idea of the flower basket to make for the children’s Nanna and so my youngest (age 4) coloured the flowers and the basket in and then we cut around them and stuck them together. It was so simple but so effective they look great don’t u think?
I can’t wait to look through http://www.mrsmactivity.co.uk/ again this evening and print off some more resource sheets for the next few weeks ahead, including some Maths and English activities to help the children stay connected to their school work during their school holidays- it’s surprising how much they forget after a break from school. I always think it’s really important to do a little bit of learning and Mrs Mactivity turns it into a fun experience for the children so theirs no tears or tantrums!
I’m especially excited about the SEN section as there’s loads of great resources for ASD too! Which is an absolute blessing. I think I’m going to complete another blog post for the SEN section once I have completed some of the activities as I have bunk it deserves a bit more than a mention.
It’s currently free to sign up to Mrs Mactivity although there will be a subscription service coming soon where you can sign up for £9.97 for 12 months!!!!! That is an incredible price to gain access to such valuable activities for the entire year to help your young children with their education. I’d highly recommend visiting http://www.mrsmactivity.co.uk/ and taking a look around ?
